Viva Las Vegas

First Dance as Mr. and Mrs.

We traveled to Las Vegas to see two of our favorite people finally get married!

Vegas is one of our favorite places to go for a long weekend. It's just long enough to get caught up in all the glitz and glamour of a city that is always active, and then to begin to miss a more stable kind of lifestyle...the one where you admit to yourself that you're not 20 anymore and can't run on 4 hours of sleep.

On our arrival night, we met up with a couple who we first met in Korea when we picked up Alex. They were there to pick up their son as well. So both of our boys have been in the United States the same amount of time...one living in Nevada and the other in Texas. They are both starting Kindergarten in the fall and had a great time playing! #Thriving We shared and reminisced our stories over dinner.

The next night was spent at Britney Spears. #Amazing
What a perfect Bachelorette Party.
When I found out we were going, I had it all planned out to check in on social media and write, "It's Britney, bitch." (me and 4000 other people). Like, I was really excited for this future post. Unfortunately when the night finally arrived, it felt wholly inappropriate due to the tragic events unfolding in Dallas and really, the tragic events of the world in the past recent months. I had/have also been steering as clear from social media as I can because it only instills angry, sad feelings as of recent.

Anyway, back to Britney...

Girl can put on a show. They turned her mic on approximately 3 times so she could yell to the audience. Then, as quick as they turned on her mic, they turned it off, resumed the show track and she did what she does best and danced and swung her hair around to our favorite Britney songs.
Almost better than the show were peoples' outfits. I was dressed like a person who used to be twenty-something recently, but wouldn't even dare to try and fool you by wearing a midriff top or dresses and shorts that showed even a hint of butt cheek. Instead I rounded up and dressed that age...like, where's my daughter and her friends who I am chaperoning? "I'm not like other Moms, I'm a cool Mom."

Guys best dressed. "You better work, bitch"  (They did!) I saw them in the section in front of us and they were dancing like a boss!

They were so nice about taking pictures with their adoring fans...

Such a fun night

I, of course, teared up when the Bride was dressed the next day. She came to my house to visit over July 4th and I teared up then...even when I shoddily laced up the the corset making the fit imperfect.
If you are ever at a wedding with me, 100% chance I'll be teary-eyed when the Bride makes her entrance.

Look at these handsome fellas

Can't help but to think about every future recital, banquet, dance, and gulp... one day, his own wedding? when looking at this. #crying

We're a little glared here (and Alex looks like Rob Schneider's character in I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry), but it was such a fun night!

My Mom was kind enough to tag along with us so she could take Alex at night(a.k.a. sleep) while we went out on the town...
Thanks, Grandma!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs.!
Thanks for throwing some Backstreet Boys in that reception mix!
