Snapshot: Writer's block (ironically)

this all came from one, jumbo egg If you are thinking that I am having trouble thinking of things to write about, you're right. Look at this egg I cracked. It looks like Slimer. The only things I could think of so far this year were to write about birthdays...blah...the Dallas Blooms at the Arboretum...again?...our garden and the things we're growing...meh...Alex playing baseball...is he? Really?...our air conditioner on the fritz yet another new spring...$$$...die...ducks on lamp posts...majestic...and other random things. #writersblock

Snapshot: Cousins

Look at this group of good-looking boys! My sweet grandma died just shy of her 88th birthday. We traveled south on 35 for her funeral and celebrated her long, accomplished life. Alex got to play with his cousins and they had a great time. Running around a church hall pretending to shoot each other with guns is okay, right? Full out tackling each other into piles is also okay, right? I'm sure my grandma would have said, "Let them be kids." So we did.

Each year, teachers often spend hundreds of dollars out of pocket on supplies for their classroom. We're always looking for a good deal and often buy things at not the best deal because we also really love school supplies. A lot. I tested Target brand (up & up) glue and dry erase markers to see if they held a candle to Elmers and Expo. The up & up brand of dry erase markers came with 10 (red not shown) and cost $6.99. I have used them since November and they have held up! I guard them like a woman possessed, but the students have still used them to write "________________ waz here". They don't smell as strong as Expo and erase very easily. I just use Kleenex (up & up brand...it's not my nose! I stash Aloe infused Kleenex in my drawer) as an eraser. They also write very smooth. Expo sells a pack of 17 for $18.99. up & up: 6.99/10 = .70 per marker Expo: 18.99/17 = $1.12 per marker up & up gets a big emoji thumbs up. The best deal...
