2015, I'm in love...

Since I don't do New Year's Resolutions, I'll share with you a few things I am in love with right now. It will help start the new year off right, and help distract me from the sadness that comes with taking down Christmas decor and the inevitable Sunday night blues that will be upon me in a few days. (Taking down the decor makes the house look naked and sad and the Sunday night blues after a long break are worse than normal.)

Dear 2015, I'm in love with...

1. Taylor Swift

Not when she talks in interviews or acts in movies, but when she takes me back to an easier time with her catchy pop songs. Thanks, Roshni's friend for sharing this on her timeline this morning and making 2015 right. Shut up and sing, Taylor...

2.This

I should just keep them up all year. I LOVE Christmas cards and seeing our smiling friends and family as we walk in every day. This is not a guilt trip for those of you who forgot to send us cards this year. But, kind of, it is.

3. Sketch Comedy

There are so many funny videos you can access at any point to have a good laugh. I usually search for them at work. Also, I guiltily admit to liking cat videos. I don't even like cats. There's something about them...

Cats...I haven't even watched this one...it's 20 minutes long. I'll save it for when I go back to work...

4.  Calcium
I started working on getting more calcium last year for stronger bones and what not...
Now it's a challenge to see what I can eat that might have hidden calcium benefits...almonds, anyone? I try to stick with ice cream and cheese.

5. Movies with Alex
Sometimes after church on Sundays, Alex and I will catch the first showing of the day and split a huge bucket of popcorn.

This is the most recent. Not as good as 1982, but there's no way Alex will watch that one after seeing this first...

6. Date night with V
We've been fortunate enough to be able to have a date night once a week, mid week. When you wake up at 5 AM every morning, it usually only entails dinner, but dinner with adults is drastically different than dinner with a three year old.

7. Good friends and family
Duh. And even though I say we don't make new year's resolutions, we do try to see more people, more often each year. We really do.

From the coast trip last year. Such a sweet moment!

James is pretty hilarious...

8. These guys...
They see my best and worst day in and day out and are still hanging around...

Don't worry, Laura, you look great.

I'll probably think of more later, but this is a pretty good list for now.

Happy New Year, 2015...
