Warby Parker

When I went to the eye doctor to get a red, semi-painful eyeball checked out, I was told that I could not wear contacts again until the infection cleared up. That was over TWO weeks ago!
Interesting science...when I put the antibiotic and steroid eye drops in, I could eventually taste them because they ran down my sinuses. Before I figured that out, I was convinced our water supply was poisoned (more than it probably already is). #science

I hate wearing glasses. My nose is so flat, it can't balance the glasses on the bridge and instead of having a comfortable space, the lenses are smashed up against my eyes. I bought a pair of sunglasses for my birthday designed by a Korean (Gentle Monster) and they fit my nose like a glove. (?)
At the time of my appointment, my glasses were so old, I failed the vision test in my right eye with my glasses on...couldn't even read the biggest line of letters. The doctor said it was going to be a long couple of weeks for me.

V also needed new glasses. He said we should check out a place called Warby Parker. Lenses plus frames start out at $95 with Rx lenses. He heard about it from the hip, young people he works with.
As I blindly looked at myself through clear lenses, I picked the pair above. The man who measured my eye ball said, "oh, that's a great color."
When we went to pick up our glasses, it was a different group of staff and again, "that's a nice color" was the comment of the day. I was beginning to think I chose the wrong frames because that is what people were saying in the tone of, "interesting choice of frames." He said the lenses were quite a bit bigger than what I was used to in my old glasses. He said it would take a while for my depth perception to adjust. At least I could see straight on with the correct Rx. When we left the store and I went to step up a stair, I misjudged the distance (because everything, looking down, was distorted) and tripped.
It was right outside Warby Parker.

Hoping to be back in contacts soon! I can't keep rolling my eyes at people forgetting I have clear glasses on instead of my sunglasses.
